The Cornish Brass
        Band Fraternity
Cornwall has a long and proud Brass Band tradition and still punches above its weight on the National scene. The Bands of Cornwall are listed below with links to their websites. They are all hard working and can be seen and heard all year around the county. Some of the better known regular venues are also shown below with links to their Summer programmes.
The main annual competition in the county is the West of England Bandsmen's festival held every year at Bugle, and is one of the hidden attractions of the county with the bands marching down to the contest in the morning and back up the high street in the evening after the contest with a truly atmospheric performance given by the Champion Band in the middle of the cross roads in Bugle. An unmissable moment in the banding year.
